Breath & Being is a calm, grounded Yoga and Pilates Studio in Lincoln, Christchurch where people reconnect to their bodies through breath led movement and intentional practice.
Each class is guided with care, creating strength without pressure and steadiness without force.
This studio grows from lived experience. From understanding stress, hormonal change, exhaustion and the feeling of being disconnected from the body. Yoga, Pilates and Breathwork become tools for stability, nervous system regulation and rebuilding from within.
Here, presence comes first.
Breath anchors each practice and progress builds through consistency.
This is a space where you move at your own pace and gradually rebuild trust in your body.
Supportive Yoga and Pilates for Women, Men and Teens
Breath & Being welcomes those seeking connection over competition.
Our Yoga and Pilates Studio supports women navigating midlife and hormonal transition, men recovering from sports and strength training, teenagers building confidence and grounding, and children learning emotional awareness through movement.
Classes are designed for people living with stress, anxiety, physical recovery, hormonal change or simply the desire to feel steady again. Through breath led Yoga, somatic movement and Mat Pilates, resilience develops gradually and awareness guides each practice.
Whether you are new to yoga, returning after time away, or deepening your pilates practice, you are invited to come as you are.
Our sessions include somatic exploration, long held yin shapes and flowing sequences that integrate strength with fluidity. Attention is placed on how sensation feels internally rather than how a posture appears externally.
This approach supports women navigating hormonal shifts, disrupted sleep and fluctuating energy levels. Practices are designed to reduce nervous system overload while gradually restoring confidence in the body’s capacity.
Breath techniques are woven throughout to support anxiety regulation and steady focus. The intention is to build clarity and steadiness through repetition and gentle challenge.
Breath centred Yoga for emotional and physical stability
Yoga at Breath & Being creates a structured yet spacious experience where breath sets the rhythm of each class.
Students leave with practical tools that support composure beyond the studio environment.
Each class develops coordinated breath to core sequencing, improving spinal support, pelvic floor integrity and overall alignment. Movements are layered progressively so strength grows without abrupt intensity.
This style of Mat Pilates supports bone health, muscular endurance and postural stability. It is particularly beneficial for women in midlife who are prioritising longevity, and for those returning after injury or physical fatigue.
Men who train in the gym or participate in sport use, these sessions to restore balance across connective tissue and stabilising muscles.
The focus remains on control, precision and sustainable effort.
